How To Fix Your Broken Bumper Without Any Hassle

1. Use Epoxy Filler
The most popular way to fix a scratched or cracked bumper is by using epoxy filler. You can fill in cracks, deep scratches, and small holes with it. Once it’s filled in and fully dried, smooth it out with fine sandpaper. Next, paint the area to match the rest of the bumper.
2. Buff Out The Scratches
Are shallow scratches the only damage on your bumper cover? You can easily buff them out! There are two ways to do this:
- Use an electric automotive polisher with the finest grade of auto polishing compound
- Use a variable speed 6″ random orbit sander with a buffing pad
3. Replace The Bumper Cover Clips
Is your bumper cover loose because it has broken bumper cover clips? The good news is you can replace these clips on some bumper covers.
First, remove the bumper cover. Take the broken clips off the cover, or remove them from their receptacle on the car. Next, push on the replacement clips.
When installed right, new clips will be able to slip into the clip mounts and keep the bumper cover securely in place.
