5 Ways To Protect Your New Mustang
Did you get a new or new-to-you Mustang? If so, you made an excellent choice. Mustangs are great cars that will serve you well for a long time. As a car owner, there are still some things you need to do to keep it in tip top shape.
Let’s discuss 5 easy ways to protect your Mustang’s body, wheels, and doors:
1. Wax Your Mustang Every Now And Then
Waxing your Mustang will give it an appealing high gloss finish. Not only that, but also it will add an extra layer of protection against:
- Ultraviolet rays
- Harsh weather
- Road salt
- Bird droppings
- Road and air pollutants
- Water spots
In other words, waxing will help keep your Mustang’s body paint from fading, discoloring, or oxidizing. Waxing your Mustang every few months will keep the body paint looking brand new.
2. Coat Your Wheels In Wheel Sealant
As you rip through the streets in your Mustang, its wheels accumulate lots of impurities, including:
- Dirt
- Brake dust
- Road salt
- Tar
Those impurities can damage your wheels. For example, your wheels can corrode over time. A layer of wheel sealant will protect your wheels from those impurities. It has the same texture of car wax, and it adds an extra layer of protection to your wheels.
3. Install All-Fit Rim Trim To Your Mustang’s Wheels
A huge part of the Mustang’s charm is its sporty, muscular appearance. So a Mustang with dinged up wheels will turn some heads, and not in a good way. The good news is there’s a way to protect your wheels from dings and amp up its appearance. All you need to do is install All-Fit Rim Trim to your Mustang’s wheels.
All-Fit Rim Trim is a durable colored rubber strip. It comes in many different colors, including fun ones like red and yellow and subtle ones like black and silver. It’s affixed to the edge of the rim with a strong adhesive. With a set of All-Fit Rim Trim on your car, your wheels have protection against curbs and other obstacles.
4. Add All-Fit Edge Trim To Your Mustang’s Doors
The edges of your Mustang’s doors are vulnerable to chips and scrapes. Luckily, there’s All-Fit Edge Trim to protect the edges. It works the same way as All-Fit Rim Trim. It’s a durable strip of rubber that serves as the first line of defense against anything that can chip or scrape your door edges. It also adds a pop of color to your car!
5. Install An All-Fit Lip Kit
Mustangs have low ground clearance. Your Mustang has a higher risk of body and underbody damage than many other cars. As a Mustang owner, you should seriously consider installing an All-Fit Lip Kit.
An All-Fit Lip Kit will protect your Mustang’s bumpers and sideskirts from obstacles such as speed bumps and curbs that can dent or scratch them. Our lip kit is among the most durable lip kits on the market. In fact, an endurance racing team uses our lip kits on their vehicles.
